Ready to help residents
OSP Mszczonów supports the safety of residents of Mszczonów, the municipality and nearby towns. Firefighters are dispatched to incidents by the State Fire Service command post.
Rescue and firefighting operations
The unit takes part in extinguishing fires in buildings, vehicles, grassland, forests and other open areas. Firefighters secure incident scenes, deploy hose lines, supply water or foam and cooperate with other OSP and PSP units.
Local hazards
OSP Mszczonów also helps during incidents not directly related to fires. These include road accidents and collisions, flooding, fallen trees, removing oil spills from roads, fire alarm system activations and securing dangerous places.
Support for medical rescue
Volunteer firefighters may be dispatched to assist medical rescue teams, especially when support is needed to reach an injured person, secure the incident scene, evacuate someone or provide qualified first aid until the relevant services arrive.
Securing events and ceremonies
The unit supports the local community during events, ceremonies, exercises and activities organised in the town and municipality. The presence of firefighters increases participant safety and allows a quick response if a threat appears.
Education and prevention
Education is an important part of OSP activity. Firefighters promote fire safety, first aid and proper behaviour during storms, heatwaves, road hazards and other situations where a quick response can save health or life.
Equipment and training
To operate effectively, firefighters regularly improve their skills and maintain equipment readiness. Vehicles, rescue equipment, personal protective equipment and communications must be ready for use at any time of day or night.
