- secure and close windows and doors
- do not park near trees
- remove loose objects from windowsills, balconies and yards
- unplug electronic equipment
- do not stand under trees, lamps or power poles
- move away from water bodies
- avoid open spaces
- if a dangerous situation occurs, call 112
